Petals

This assignment for my Integrated Design 1 studio course required me to design an open air pavilion on Lawrence Tech’s campus to be used by the college for outdoor gatherings and events. The project also required a walkable path that was ADA compliant as well as provided excellent views and restful spaces. I was required to analyze and collect data from the site over the course of the semester which included; soil samples and analysis, microclimate data, water movement, habitat and wildlife observations, wind analysis, solar analysis, sound analysis, and topographic data collection. After analyzing all of the data, I decided to focus my project most primarily on curating excellent views and creating restful zones with differing levels of privacy.
